Since
the beginning of agriculture farmers have been on the search for new ways to
maximize crop yields, reduce cost,
be more time efficient, use less space,
work less with their backs and more with their heads in order to get more bang
for their buck. Agricultural technology has gone
long ways from its roots and has kept up in the technological race with other
industries like the car industry or the computer industry without getting the
same kind of attention. Before writing this
paper I was not well aware of all the technology the agriculture industry has
adapted into the field. After doing research
on different agricultural innovations I decide to focus on one called the “HV-100”
a robot designed to perform material handling tasks in the nursery and
greenhouse sector.
